Maja's Bears

	Hi, I'm Maja Hansen creator of Maja's Bears. In 1998 a curly brown bear was born, but at that time I could never imagine he would completely change my life. I have always been very creative, making all kind of things for in and around our home, but a bear, I had never made before. I'm completely self thaught so it took me a while, but I loved making him from the first moment I started and I still enjoy creating each one.
The bearbug hit me in the summer of 2000, at that time my own designs came to life. My bears are made from the finest Mohair, Alpaca or Faux Fur. The paws can differ : ultrasuede, velvet, cashmere, leather or mohair. They are full jointed , have glass eyes and for some of the bears I handpaint the eyes with glitter for a realy alive look. The bear stuffing is mostely polyfill and weighted with eigther steelshot for the minibears and glassbeads for the larger bears. Each bear has a sewn in logotag and a signed certificate of origine. Most of my bears are one of a kinds or small limited editions. I'm always ready to try out a new technique or to create a new little friend. So come back to visite us again, who knows what is for adoption at that time. Teddybears are my passion and have provided me with a lot of new friends around the globe. That's one of the lovely extra's that comes with bears, it doesn't matter if you make bears or if you adopt bears, friends you will make. I design and create my bears especially for adult collectors, they are not suitable as children's toys! I hope you'll enjoy my bears as much as I did creating them.
